Our unique, custom courses

Please check out the courses listed in the tabs below. Please be aware that we can customise these courses for your own particular workflow. We can include training on how to get the best from you third-party software plug-ins, for example Red Giant software (Including Trapcode Plugins) and Boris FX. We can also provide training on products such as Wacom tablets and iPad drawing apps. We can even show you how to put your own portfolio website together with WordPress.

There are four levels of After Effects training available as well as custom courses. After Effects Fundamentals, After Effects Intermediate, After Effects Advanced, After Effects Power User.

Angie will send you an evaluation form that takes a few minutes to complete. This will give Angie an indication of the level of After Effects training you require. She will customise the course to fit your own personal needs. Here are some examples of modules that can be covered in your course;

Motion graphics designer Angie Taylor shows you how to build a complete sequence in C4D Lite, progressing from initial object modeling, to animation, lighting, camera rigging, texturing, and final render.

Learn to animate text, create random movement with wiggle expressions, track cameras in live-action footage to add new 3D elements, and light your scene.

We can also customise the course to suit your own specific needs covering other aspects of the Cinema 4D software like character rigging and animation, cloth dynamics, mograph features and more.

In this Adobe Photoshop training Angie Taylor shows just how easy it can be. You’ll tour the interface, gain an understanding of the workflow, and be introduced to core techniques. Angie will customize the course exactly to fit your needs.

All classes taught at the Creative Cabin are delivered on a one-to-one basis. This means it’s just you and Angie at the desk. You can ask questions whenever you want.  Angie will customise the course to fit your own needs.

 

Adobe Illustrator is more powerful than ever before. In this Adobe Illustrator training Angie Taylor shows just how easy it can be to use. Get a tour of the interface, gain an understanding of the workflow, and be introduced to core techniques like working with artboards, understanding layers and objects, and making and moving selections. Angie also shows how to create images from shapes, apply color, reshape paths, and save and export artwork for the web, print, or animation.

Our intensive course on Adobe Lightroom takes place at our training centre near Brighton. The course introduces you to the core principles of digital photography as well as the features of Adobe Lightroom.

This course is perfect for anyone who is self-taught or individuals moving ito Lightroom from other software such as Photoshop. The course focusses on the creative aspects of a designer’s job. Areas that can be easily overlooked when learning software.

Our intensive course on motion graphic design takes place at our training centre near Brighton. The course introduces you to the core principles every motion graphic designer needs to know in order to create great-looking design and animation.

This course is perfect for anyone who is self-taught or individuals moving into motion graphic design from another discipline. The course focusses on the creative aspects of a designer’s job. Areas that can be easily overlooked when learning software.

There have been many recent developments in software used for 2D character animation. We’ll take a look at some of these including Adobe Character Animator and After Effects add-on Rubberhose.

We’ll explore some essential After Effects scripts including DUIK, Puppet Toolsand Head Rig. We will also look at techniques for using Cinema 4D to create animation with a 2D aesthetic.

You’ll definitely come away from this course with a ton of new techniques and inspiration for your own projects. You’ll discover how to compose a scene and a storyboard as well as hundreds of tips and tricks for making compelling and enjoyable character animations.

Our Premiere Pro training courses are taught by expert, Angie Taylor. Angie is a motion graphic designer and illustrator with twenty-five years experience in the TV and Film industry.

Angie was Adobe UK’s senior demo artist. She has several tutorials featured on Adobe TV. Angie has written several books on motion graphic design and is a Linkedin instructor with several video training courses on Lynda.com.

Angie has taught her course on storyboard and animatic production at the Lighthouse in Brighton and at the University of Brighton’s Digital Media MA course. She now teaches this exciting course at Creative Cabin.

Professional design experience

Angie only offers training for a few days every month. When the Cabin is not being used for training Angie creates motion graphics and animation from the Cabin for her own clients – who she works for on a freelance basis.

Over the past 20 years Angie has provided Adobe software training to hundreds of motion graphic designers, video editors and artists on software applications such as; Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and Maxon Cinema 4D.

Angie is a published author with five books published on the subjects of Adobe After Effects and motion graphic design. She is also an author of training courses at Lynda.com.

Make your training a vacation

The Creative Cabin is situated in an idyllic spot near Brighton in the UK with panoramic views across the English Channel. All training packages can be adapted to include accommodation in the private, comfortable self-contained studio apartment – this can be yours for the duration of your stay. Kick back and relax when you’re not training, enjoy some home-cooked food while watching movies on the HDTV or playing Playstation games. The more adventurous guests may want to take a trip into the centre of Brighton to unwind in style.
